3 years since my first blog

it been almost years now. I had almost forgotten that i had a blog of my own. Just surfing through the net i found the urge to blog and i googled into blogger and logged into my own site, purely by accident as my password was saved or something. Just read my first and only blog and was surprised to read what i had written.

At first i thought i was reading someone else's blog. However when i went through the first few lines, i immediately recognized the emotion i was going through when i wrote that post. However, things may have changed the way i feel about things like writing about my own personal life. It may be because there is really no extraordinary story to tell.

However i will not post any fiction in my blogs and i hope to maintain my blog from now on. Lets see where this leads me.

On a not very exciting note i am currently reading "the secret of the nagas" by AMISH tripathi , an Indian writer cum banker from IIM Calcutta. I like his writing and have read his first book- "the immortals of meluha". truly amazing story teller. I love the way he mixes mythology with science and history. If i ever wanted to be a story teller it would have to be this way. Will give a detailed review in my next post on both the books.

how does this work?

has it ever occurred to you that in this modern day of fully wired technology and unbelievable gadgets that if u don't have a blog of your own you are kind of outdated. outdated is an understatement. man you are way too ancient. everyone from school going kids to home making aunties have their own blogs. this is the kind of feeling that got me started with this blog today.

i seriously don't know how many times this will be read or how many times someone visits this..but u know what.. i don't care. as long as i have a blog now. and as a matter of fact i dont even know what to write here. reading other blogs makes me think sometimes..why do people wanna make a story out of their lives?what good would it possibly do to enable some unknown stranger to take a peek into your personal life. still people do this and this thought does make me wonder that just as i find it interesting to peek into someones personal life someone out there wants me to peek into his story.

storytelling is an art; a very ancient one at that too. It does give you a sense of achievement if you are are being listened to and appreciated. thats exactly the kind of feeling i wanna get. but interesting reading hardly ever comes if there is no element of reality in the story. a sense of reality add to the chill and that is why i believe people write about their lives.

well i wouldn't know what to write in this blog but now that i have got one i would try to keep writing..lets hope this works
